At Enriched Movement, we believe therapy should be a positive and empowering experience for both children and their families. Our mission is to create a supportive environment where every child can reach their full potential.
Our approach is rooted in:
With more than 20 years of experience helping children move, grow, and thrive, Allison Rish, MPT, founded Enriched Movement to change the way therapy feels for families.
After years working in our local hospital system and as a school-based physical therapist, Allison saw how insurance rules often dictated what care families could receive, rather than what kids actually needed. That realization inspired her to create a space where therapy could be truly child-centered, family-driven, and flexible.
Her passion for intensive therapy began while collaborating on research with The Ohio State University, the National Institutes of Health (NIH), and Nationwide Children’s Hospital. Seeing the remarkable progress kids made through focused, hands-on therapy changed her perspective forever.
Today, Allison brings that same evidence-based yet deeply personal approach to every session, blending movement, play, and science. She’s especially passionate about tools that help kids improve posture, strength, and alignment, including functional electrical stimulation (FES), TheraTogs, and whole-body vibration.
Through Enriched Movement, Allison has built a team of therapists who share her vision: to meet kids wherever they are, at home, in the park, or in the clinic, and help them make meaningful progress that carries into everyday life. Families often share that they see more growth in a few weeks here than in months of traditional outpatient therapy.
At the heart of it all, Allison’s mission is simple: to empower kids and families to move with confidence, play with purpose, and thrive in every environment.
